The Paris Very Young Arbitration Practitioners Group (PVYAP) recently launched the second edition of the Young Arbitrators Match (YAM), an arbitral award drafting competition. Registrations are open till September 30.
Unlike other arbitration moots, YAM is open to young arbitration practitioners (not to students) and does not involve the drafting of written submissions or oral advocacy. It is the first and only competition of its kind.
The awards have to be submitted by January 30. They will be assessed by a prestigious jury composed of influential lawyers, professors, financial experts, and the Deputy Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
Prizes for the best awards range from 3,000 Euros to 10,000 Euros, apart from a selection of exclusive gifts.
Applicants may register either as a sole arbitrator or as a three-member tribunal.
