AZB & Partners and Khaitan & Co have retained their top spots in the final MergerMarket 2015 league tables. Meanwhile, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has risen up the ranks.
AZB has 82 deals at a value of $11.19 billion, whereas Khaitan has 51 deals at $7.4 billion, putting them at the first two spots in both deal value and deal count tables. In the deal value tables, Shardul Amarchand has risen to third, with 31 deals valued at $5.6 billion. In the preliminary tables released last month, they were at 11th place. The firm has seen a similar upsurge in the deal count tables, moving up from 8th to 5th.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas is in third place, with 33 deals valued at $5.3 billion, followed by the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas at 21 deals valued at $4.7 billion.
J Sagar Associates is in sixth place, with 37 deals valued at $3.8 billion. Luthra & Luthra is in seventh, 15 deals valued at $3.1 billion. S&R Associates takes 11th, with 9 deals valued at $2.2 billion. Trilegal is at 14th with 29 deals at $1.9 billion and Talwar Thakore & Associates completes the table with 5 deals at $1.5 billion.
The international law firms in the league table include Davis Polk & Wardwell, Clifford Chance, Sullivan & Cromwell and Linklaters.

Trilegal is at 6th with 29 deals, followed by Desai & Diwanji with 26. Amarchand Mangaldas is at 8th with 21, followed by BMR Legal and Nishith Desai Associates with 20 and 18 deals respectively.
The other firms in the league table include Luthra & Luthra, IndusLaw, PH Bathiya, HSA Advocates and S&R Associates.
