Indian-American lawyer Richa Naujoks has been nominated for the 2015 TrustLaw Lawyer of the Year Award. An Associate at New York law firm Nixon Peabody, Richa has been recognized for her pro bono lawyering. She is the only Indian-American to be nominated in the field.
She was nominated by a Mumbai-based pro-bono client, Wello, which makes water wheels to help women safely carry water from distant water sources to their homes. She was involved in the complex restructuring of Wello’s Indian and US legal operational structure.
Richa is a graduate of NLSIU Bangalore and did her LLM at the University of Washington in Seattle. She currently serves as co-chair of the India Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law.
